Who Was Uzzah, and Why Did He Die?

Do you remember Uzzah’s story in the Bible (2 Samuel 6:6-7)? He was the man who reached out to steady the Ark of God when the oxen stumbled. At first glance, it seems like a good deed. After all, he was trying to stop the Ark from falling. But instead of being praised, Uzzah was struck dead on the spot.
